About Us
Our church is a merger between two church groups - Solid Rock Community and Village Church of the Nazarene.

Solid Rock Community Church of the Nazarene began from a vision birthed by the Senior Pastor, Rev. Nick Stavropolous and members of Rosewood Church of the Nazarene. In 2007, a group of 12 individuals from the Rosewood Church of the Nazarene decided to transition to Richmond Hill and become the core group of the new church.

After a year of planning, prayer, vision, and God's guidance Solid Rock Community Church of the Nazarene opened on Sunday, September 21, 2008. The grand opening was at Cosmo Music School (10 Via Renzo Drive, Richmond Hill, ON). The church was organized on Sunday, November 22, 2015.

Village Church of the Nazarene was also birthed from Rosewood Church of the Nazarene under the leadership of Rev. Nick Stavropolous in 1987. A group of people from Rosewood Church ventured out in Markham. After worshipping in a rental space for over 4 years the Village Church under the financial and spiritual support of Rosewood Church bought the church located at 218 Main Street, Unionville. The dedication service for the Village Church of the Nazarene happened on November 22, 1992.

After persevering through COVID-19, in September 2022, the Village Church and Solid Rock Community Church started to have joint services at the 218 Main Street location.

After worshipping together for 3 months, in December 2022, both churches voted to merge the groups.

The merge was official starting in May 2023 but the church celebrated the new group and new name of the church on September 17, 2023.
